Kaffelars

"Nothing is more brown that coffee."

An exploration of coffee as a social link in the Norwegian Society.through a series of works, I´ve illustrated situations where people gather round for a cuppa joe.

Even though the concept of a cup of coffee is widely recognized, there has been some changes lately. From drinking substitutional coffee during the war to an increasing focus on quality like we are seeing today. Some of us have even become picky and demanding as of what is to be found in the cup. For many, it is not about something black as night and hot as hell, for the true coffeegeek a nuanced fruitdrink with a wide array of aromas that can be systematically tasted, broken down and analyzed.

For others it can be synonymous with instant coffee, just add water and the effect is more important than the taste itself.It´s not only about the ingredients, but how you brew it and what you drink it out of is equally important. It´s a ritual that spreads across all groups of society and all over the globe.

No matter how we prefer our coffee, we can still meet over a cup.

Vil bare gi en takk til Martin og Bellona for lånet av Dot-Its til utstillingen vår på hvelvet til torsdag, det blir en stram innspurt.

En gledelig nyhet er at vi har fått slengt noen penger etter oss fra frifond
På denne måten ka vi sørge for at utgifter blir dekket og at vi kan ha et adskillig mye bedre enn
om vi ikke hadde fått noe. Det er også et spørsmål om vi kanskje får noe fra grafill også, men det vet vi ikke enda. Stikkordet er flasker og vi setter igang NÅ.

Her har dere bildene fra min og Lars´ inspirasjonstur til Belgia 19-26 juli. En tur som ga oss mange ideér med tanke på vårt neste prosjekt, samt det å ha smakt på over 40 ølsorter.
