Gullblyanten 2013

Decided to enter Gullblyanten with this poster design for Bønder i Byen at sagene Oslo 2013.

Gullblyanten

Rainwater

A contribution to the Raindrops Geneva Award 2013 Poster Competition

780 million people still have no regular access to clean water, and 2.6 billion have no access to basic sanitation. With rapid population growth, climate change and the naturally unequal distribution of water, rainwater harvesting is an alternate ‐ and effective ‐ way of increasing the availability of water while also reducing the risk of flooding. Rainwater harvesting can decrease the impulsive and wasteful use of water by individuals and businesses alike. It has the double benefit of preserving natural resources while helping to mitigate against climate change.

The International Rainwater Harvesting Alliance (IRHA), ever concerned with highlighting the benefits of rainwater harvesting, is launching the fourth edition of its international competition that links art to development. Rainwater harvesting has been used to provide a supply of safe and sustainable water for centuries, but in recent generations, it has been forgotten. Through this competition we aim to reintroduce this concept and make the public aware of the various advantages that rainwater harvesting offers.

It is in this context that the IRHA invites artists - professional and amateur alike - to create a poster that presents their vision on the benefits that this resource can have for both humans and nature.

SIHG - humor competition

Entering this illustration for SIHG - humor competition

The theme for the 1st International Graphic Humor Salon of Pernambuco (SIHG-PE) is THE WOMAN. Our goal is to promote a reflection on gender equality and inequality, as well as the differences between sexes, by way of a contest of cartoons and caricatures. You’re invited to pour some ink over this discussion. Through this exhibition, and through an all-female jury, the SIHG-PE also wants to pay homage and give visibility to artists who actively contribute to the development of graphic humor in Brazil and abroad.

My submission to a poster cometition;

The Brief
We invite entrants to let their mind run free and create an iconic or ironic ‘King and Queen of the Fringe’. They could exist in a parallel Adelaide Fringe universe but must embody the creative spirit of the Adelaide Fringe. From cyber punk to manga, street art to pop, our very own Fringe Royalty exists in a fantastical world where only the strongest, boldest and most colourful will survive.

SILVER - but no money

Visuelt gave us silver in the student category. Where is the silver I say, I´m broke and need to feel and see the shiny throphy in my hands, feel the glory and soak in the wine. So thanks to Grafill and Visuelt, and congrats to the win(n)er
